Some students like classes where the students do some of the talking in class because they think that it can give the students chances to practise. However, I prefer to choose classes where teachers do all of the talking because I believe it will benefit me much more. The following are my reasons and examples.
The first reason why I think so is that teachers have integrate knowledge structures which students don¡¯t have in advance, so that teachers could teach according to other knowledge which was taught in the past and which will be taught in the coming classes. It means I can understand the whole subject easily and logically. When I prepare for my exams I would have less or even on difficulties. As a result, I could get high scores.
Another reason is that teachers are the professional people to teach, so they know the proper teaching methods. They would use different methods to make different knowledge points clearer and easier to me. This is what students couldn¡¯t do. For example, when my chemistry teacher taught us the theory of atom structure, he paraphrased the textbook as an interesting story. Therefore, the knowledge did not sound boring any more, instead it promoted my interests in this part, and not only understood it at once, but also remembered it for a long time.
What is more, teachers have much more experiences than students. They can teach some knowledge by mixing it with their relative experiences. So I could know how the knowledge is applied in the real lives. It is helpful for me to work in the future.
Although students could practise more in the classes where students do some of the talking, I prefer the classes where teachers do all the talking, because in this type of classes, teachers could teach knowledge logically, properly and practically. I could benefit from theses classes to understand what my teachers taught me and get high scores.
